Recipe time.

So I made supper tonight, this time with a completely homemade recipe. Such great food.
Very good supper.
2 lbs stew beef, cut into half-inch cubes
3 large potatoes, cubed
1 large carrot, diced
1 796 ml can crushed tomatoes
1 398 ml can tomato sauce
1 1/2 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon crushed chilies
1/4 teaspoon rosemary
1/2 cup frozen corn
2 tablespoons instant beef stock
Bring eight cups of water to slow boil in a large pot. While water boils, brown the stew beef in a wok or large pan with oil of your choice. When the beef is browned, spoon it out of the drippings with a slotted spoon and add it to the stock. Add the crushes tomatoes and tomato sauce, and stir in basil, pepper, chilies, and rosemary. Simmer on a medium heat for 20 minutes, and then add in carrots, potatoes, and corn. Simmer for an additional 30 minutes.
Optionally, prepare dumplings. Serve when ready, refrigerate leftovers.

Just an update on Displaced Chapter 3.
I got a REALLY good bout of writing in this morning. After managing to churn out only two paragraphs last night, I sit up wondering. Then I managed to get the flow going, and then it was like a dam had burst. I was writing, researching, and crosschecking like nobodies business. I started at like... Two thirty in the morning, and it is now well past four in the morning, the story five whole pages longer. The funny part is, most of it is an embellished history lesson for Warren/Goldenrod's sake, as well as my opportunity to touch on how I imagine certain events to have taken place.
Here's to getting into your writing and having a blast.
